maintaining good health, march 13

It is so hard to maintain a good health. There are so many good foods out there it is hard to resist. one of my goals for this semester is to cut down on the fatty types of foods, high sugary content drinks, high carbohydrate meals etc. so far i have been abusing myself with eating many of these types of foods. as i am typing this i just had a chicken nuggets meal at mcdonalds for dinner. i dont think i eat alot of these kinds of food but it does get me a bit frustrated afterwards. latly ive been eating alot of fast food. I try my best to stray away from fast food meals, but since i stay in for hours at school and in the hospital i have no where else but fast food. i still do take my amount of vitamin C and Ds everyday, i take in fiber almost everyday, drink my 16oz cups of water every meal, and with every meal i take in everyday i do my best to eat in moderation. Although my food intake may not be so great i do maintain my activity level. every fridays i go to the gym and do my 30 minutes of cardio as well as weight lifting (i dont do too much weight lifting now this semester since school has been really time centered lately). Other than myself, my mom and dad have done great with their food and fluid intake as well as excercise. Mom and Dad has been eating good healthy green foods lately. Such as filipino styled vegetable dishes. Fishes are perfered more than meats. alot of lean meats have been prepared latly as well. i am just so proud of my family, especially having a family history of hypertension, it is just great to see that health wise they are very much aware and mindful of. speaking for myself i just need to watch out for my own health. i am so caught up of helping others that i sometimes forget about my own well being.
